BINGHAMTON, NY – The National Weather Service in Binghamton continues multiple Winter Weather Advisories for Central New York and Northeast Pennsylvania, with a Winter Storm Watch to follow for parts of Onondaga, Madison, and Southern Oneida Counties later tonight through Friday morning.

  • New York: Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, Southern Cayuga, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Broome, Delaware, and Sullivan Counties
  • Pennsylvania: Bradford, Susquehanna, Wayne, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, and Pike Counties

🌨️ Expected Snow & Ice Totals

  • Central NY (Onondaga, Madison, Oneida): 2–5 inches today, with 7+ inches possible in lake-effect snow bands Thursday into Friday.
  • Southern Tier & NE PA: 1–4 inches of snow, with a light glaze of ice possible in valleys such as Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.
  • Higher Elevations: May see localized totals up to 7 inches, especially in Otsego and Chenango Counties.

  • Winds gusting 30–40 mph could cause blowing and drifting snow, especially north of Interstate 90 and along the I-81 corridor.
