La Crosse, WI – Snow flurries will create challenges for morning commuters across the La Crosse area today, with visibility potentially dropping to 2 miles, especially along I-90. Highs will reach 29°F, but wind chills will make it feel closer to zero throughout the day.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered flurries are expected to persist until late afternoon. Winds will gust up to 25 mph, further reducing visibility and adding to the bitter cold. Tonight, temperatures will drop to 3°F, with lingering flurries likely before skies gradually clear overnight.

The frigid weather will continue Thursday, bringing sunny skies but a high of only 14°F. Wind chills in the morning could fall as low as -7°F, with light northwest winds persisting throughout the day.

Looking ahead, Friday offers some improvement with mostly sunny skies and a high near 23°F. Winds will remain calm, making it feel slightly warmer. By Saturday, temperatures will climb to 31°F under partly sunny skies, though gusts of 22 mph could bring occasional chills. Sunday will remain sunny but cold, with a high near 26°F.

Drivers should prepare for difficult travel conditions today and dress warmly as freezing temperatures persist through the weekend.
