Auburn, NY – Southern Cayuga County residents should prepare for snowy conditions as waves of lake-effect snow continue through Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has extended its Winter Weather Advisory until 1 p.m. Tuesday, with 4 to 9 inches of snow expected to fall in affected areas. Snowfall may come in intense bursts, reducing visibility and creating slippery conditions. Drivers are urged to exercise caution, particularly on State Route 34 and nearby roads.

Commuters should prepare for delays, and residents are encouraged to check 511ny.org for updates on local road conditions.
