Duluth, MN – Extreme cold and dangerous wind chills continue across northern Minnesota today, with temperatures struggling to rise above zero. Residents are advised to take precautions, as wind chills will dip as low as -30°F overnight.

According to the National Weather Service, a Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. today, with wind chills between -20°F and -30°F across much of the region. Northwest winds will make conditions even harsher, creating a risk of frostbite in under 30 minutes for exposed skin.

Snow showers will taper off today, but another round of light snow is possible late Wednesday night. Highs will reach only 10°F today before dropping to -1°F overnight. The cold pattern continues Thursday, with a high of 22°F and breezy conditions.

A warming trend arrives this weekend, with highs climbing into the 30s by Saturday, offering relief from the bitter cold. Drivers should remain cautious as icy conditions persist, especially on bridges and overpasses.
