According to the National Weather Service, widespread haze will linger through Friday, with partly sunny skies expected by the afternoon. Friday night will see increasing cloud cover, with temperatures dipping to 22°F. On Saturday, a high near 29°F and northwestern winds of 3 to 6 mph will accompany snow in the morning. Roadways, including I-15, could see reduced visibility and slippery conditions, urging caution for those traveling early in the day.

Sunday will bring slightly improved conditions, with mostly cloudy skies and highs near 31°F, though temperatures will plummet to 14°F by nightfall. As Martin Luther King Jr. Day approaches, Monday promises clear skies with sunshine and a high near 27°F, though bitterly cold temperatures will persist at night, dropping to 8°F.

The extended forecast shows a warming trend into Tuesday, with highs reaching 33°F and sunny conditions expected. By midweek, Salt Lake City will see more mild temperatures nearing the high 30s.
