Shreveport, LA – A weak cold front will move through northwest Louisiana and the ArkLaTex region today, bringing the chance for a few isolated showers and cooler air, according to the National Weather Service in Shreveport.
Rain chances will remain low, around 15–25%, mainly during the afternoon hours across southern Arkansas, eastern Texas, and northern Louisiana. Most areas will stay dry, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s before cooler air settles in overnight.
Forecasters expect the front to pass quickly, leading to clearing skies and mild conditions by this evening. Winds will shift slightly northward behind the boundary, ushering in a seasonably cool start to Sunday.
Sunday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and comfortable highs in the 60s, with overnight lows dropping into the 40s. No significant rainfall or storms are expected through the start of the new week.
Motorists may encounter brief, light rain during the day, but widespread impacts are not anticipated.
