Shreveport, LA – Residents across northern Louisiana and southern Arkansas can expect another hot day Monday, with only a small chance of afternoon showers.
According to the National Weather Service Shreveport office, high temperatures will range from the lower to mid-90s across the region. Shreveport and Texarkana are forecast to reach 95 degrees, while Monroe may climb as high as 97 degrees.
The agency reports that isolated showers may develop this afternoon, particularly in northern zones. Broken Bow, Hope, and Clarksville have the highest rain chances, between 17% and 20%. Shreveport, Longview, and Tyler are only expected to see about a 10% chance of showers.
Forecasters noted that increasing cloud cover could provide some relief from the heat, but overall conditions will remain hot and humid. Rainfall, where it does occur, is expected to be brief and scattered.
The National Weather Service reminds residents to stay hydrated, limit time outdoors during peak afternoon heat, and remain cautious of changing weather conditions throughout the day.
