Shreveport, LA – Residents can expect classic fall weather this week with plenty of sunshine, warm afternoons, and a brief storm window Friday, October 3. The National Weather Service says most days will stay clear, making it an ideal week for outdoor plans and early Halloween decorating.

According to the latest forecast, Friday brings the only notable weather change. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms could develop after 1 p.m., with highs near 89 degrees. Shreveport drivers on I-20 and I-49 should monitor road conditions if storms pop up during afternoon travel.

Today, Wednesday, October 1, begins sunny with highs near 92. Winds will remain light, shifting from calm to around 5 mph. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows near 70.

Thursday stays mostly sunny with highs near 91 before the slight storm risk arrives Friday. Friday night clears quickly with a low around 65. Saturday turns bright again, bringing highs near 88 and cooler, comfortable evenings. Sunday carries another 20 percent chance of showers in the afternoon, but most of the day remains dry and pleasant.

Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday continue the sunny streak, with highs near 90. Calm winds and cool nights keep conditions favorable for outdoor gatherings and seasonal decorating.

Shreveport residents should enjoy the stable stretch of weather but keep Friday on their radar for possible travel delays or lightning threats.
