Shooting in Anderson, IN: Police Arrest Suspect, Victim in Critical Condition

Anderson, IN – Indiana State Police have launched an investigation following a shooting at a residence that left one man critically injured.

According to the Indiana State Police, officers responded to a report of a shooting on Delmar Street at approximately 7:31 p.m. on Saturday. They discovered a 44-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim was initially treated at Indiana University St. Vincent’s in Anderson before being transferred to Indianapolis in critical condition.

Nicholas Blake Simmons, 24, of Anderson, was arrested and charged with invasion of privacy and unlawfully carrying a firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
