Cordova, TN – A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred early Sunday in Cordova, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called around 2:56 a.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, to a home in the 6900 block of Manslick Road after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, deputies found 32-year-old Yesica Juarez unresponsive with a gunshot wound inside the residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Shelby County fire paramedics.

According to investigators, the incident appeared to be domestic-related. Detectives quickly identified the suspect as 33-year-old Marcus Dotson and issued a warrant for his arrest on multiple charges, including first-degree murder, using a weapon in the commission of a felony, and being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon.

At approximately 9:55 a.m., members of the Fugitive Apprehension Team, assisted by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Memphis Multi-Agency Gang Unit, located and arrested Dotson in the 300 block of Poplar Avenue.

Dotson remains in custody and faces multiple felony charges related to the fatal shooting.
