Bartlett, TN – The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with Walmart and the Mid-South Food Bank for a Holiday Food Drive this Friday, November 14, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Walmart located at 8400 US-64 (Hwy 64).

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies from the Community Operations Division — along with McGruff the Crime Dog — will be on-site helping collect non-perishable food items to support families across the Mid-South during the holiday season.

Organizers say the drive is part of a multi-location effort to ensure “no table goes empty this holiday season.” Similar food drives were held in Southaven on November 8 and another is scheduled for December 5 at the Winchester Road Walmart.

Residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations and spread the word among friends, family, and coworkers. Suggested items include canned goods, rice, pasta, peanut butter, and boxed meals.

Community members who can’t attend are urged to support the Mid-South Food Bank directly or volunteer their time to local hunger-relief programs.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that small contributions can make a big impact this holiday season, helping local families in need across Shelby County and beyond.
