Southeast Shelby County, TN – Two people have been arrested and a third detained following a string of burglaries at a storage facility in southeast Shelby County.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, detectives began investigating multiple burglaries reported on Wednesday at Storage Towne, located at 7845 E. Shelby Drive. Investigators determined that two individuals, identified as an adult male and female, gained access to multiple units.

Detectives later identified the suspects as Lawrence Holden and Melody Maher. A search warrant was executed at a home in the 6100 block of Live Oak Cove in Memphis, where deputies detained the pair. Authorities reported finding illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the residence. A third person, Dakota Holden, was also taken into custody on unrelated warrants.

Chief Deputy Anthony Buckner said crimes such as burglaries have a negative impact on local businesses and communities, noting he was pleased detectives were able to make arrests.

Lawrence Holden, 46, was charged with four counts of burglary, theft of property between $1,000 and $2,500, two counts of theft under $1,000, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of legend drugs without a prescription, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, attempted criminal simulation under $1,000, and violation of probation.

Melody Maher, 32, was charged with two counts of burglary, theft of property under $1,000, theft of merchandise under $1,000, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of legend drugs without a prescription, and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dakota Holden, 37, was charged with burglary and two counts of theft of merchandise under $1,000.
