Milwaukee, WI – Drivers in eastern Wisconsin are being urged to use caution this morning as dense fog blankets several counties along Lake Michigan.
According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m. CDT Monday, September 22, 2025, for Sheboygan, Washington, and Ozaukee counties. Forecasters warn that visibilities may be reduced to a quarter mile or less, creating hazardous travel conditions during the morning commute.
The advisory affects key roadways, including stretches of Interstate 43 and Highways 57 and 60, where fog may be especially thick in low-lying areas. Commuters traveling toward Sheboygan, Port Washington, West Bend, and surrounding communities are advised to allow extra time, use headlights, and maintain safe following distances.
Weather officials note that conditions are expected to gradually improve after sunrise, but some pockets of fog may linger through the mid-morning hours.
The National Weather Service urges residents to remain alert and to avoid sudden lane changes or high speeds while driving through areas of dense fog.
