The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls reports isolated to scattered showers and storms this morning, with additional storms anticipated this afternoon through tonight. Some storms could be strong to severe, necessitating vigilance and multiple warning systems.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s high temperatures will range from 83-91°F, with heat indices in the mid to upper 90s. Tonight’s lows are expected to be between 64-68°F, with strong to severe storms possible. The forecast predicts hot and humid conditions continuing throughout the week, with periodic storm chances.

Monday will see slightly cooler conditions with highs of 83-90°F and lows of 65-69°F, accompanied by a 20% chance of storms in the west. On Tuesday, temperatures will rise again to 87-95°F, with storm chances increasing late in the day. Wednesday’s forecast includes highs of 86-96°F and lows of 65-69°F, with a 30% chance of storms. Thursday will be marginally cooler with highs of 83-91°F and a 20% chance of storms in the east.
