Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Northeast States, Large Hail Possible

New York, NY – The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for several Northeast states, effective from Sunday morning until 7 p.m. EDT. The affected areas include Connecticut, Northern Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Southern New York, Central and Eastern Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.

According to the NWS, severe thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging winds with gusts up to 75 mph and isolated large hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates and take necessary precautions.
