Tornadoes are also possible this afternoon and evening, particularly in the ArkLaTex area where a Level 3 out of 5 storm risk is posted.

The Dallas-Fort Worth region is forecast to experience the most severe impacts between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m., with damaging hail already reported in some locations. Further east, areas like Pine Bluff and Jonesboro are under a red-zone tornado threat through Thursday afternoon.

Officials urge residents to remain alert, monitor local weather updates, and have shelter plans ready. Secure outdoor items, avoid travel during peak storm hours, and charge mobile devices. With over 8.7 million people potentially impacted, early preparation is vital to minimizing harm from these volatile storms.
