Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Indiana, Southwestern Ohio

Dearborn County, IN – A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for several counties in southeastern Indiana and southwestern Ohio until 6:30 PM EDT.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH, severe thunderstorms were detected at 5:37 PM, moving east at 45 mph. The storms are producing 70 mph wind gusts and nickel-sized hail. Areas affected include Franklin, Union, Ripley, and Dearborn counties in Indiana, and Hamilton, Preble, and Butler counties in Ohio. Residents are advised to seek shelter in an interior room on the lowest floor and avoid driving through flooded roadways.
