Cincinnati, Ohio – Severe thunderstorms are set to sweep across Ohio this afternoon and into tonight, bringing the risk of damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, and flash flooding. Residents should be on alert as these hazardous conditions continue into Sunday night.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a Marginal to Slight Risk of severe weather is in effect for much of southern Ohio, including Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton. Flash flooding remains a particular concern as heavy rain continues to fall. Areas under a Flood Watch, including those along I-75 and I-71 corridors, may experience rapid flooding in low-lying areas and on roadways.

In Cincinnati and surrounding counties, expect gusty winds of up to 60 mph, with possible tornado activity. The severe weather is expected to occur in two rounds—one this afternoon through early evening and another tonight into Sunday night. During both rounds, intense rainfall could cause localized flooding, so drivers should use caution on wet roads.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor objects and avoid non-essential travel, especially during periods of heavy rain. Stay tuned for updated warnings as conditions continue to develop.
