New Lenox, IL – Seniors in New Lenox can take advantage of free vehicle inspections to prepare for winter this November. The Village of New Lenox, in partnership with Lincoln-Way High School District #210, will offer the service to seniors aged 60 and older. The inspections will be held on Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday, November 7, from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. at Lincoln-Way Central High School.
According to officials, appointments are required to attend. Seniors can reserve a spot by contacting Daniel Martin, Safe Community Coordinator, at dmartin@newlenox.net. They must provide their preferred date, time, and vehicle details.
Lincoln-Way automotive students, under professional supervision, will check fluids, inspect tires, and test batteries, among other services. These free inspections aim to support seniors who may face challenges maintaining their vehicles during the winter months.
The event also receives support from New Lenox NAPA Auto Parts and COUNTRY Financial, who will donate supplies, including snow brushes for participants.
