Sellersburg, IN – A Clark County massage parlor owner was arrested Wednesday afternoon on multiple felony charges tied to alleged corrupt business practices and tax evasion.
According to the Indiana State Police, 62-year-old Yonghua Fang Thrasher of Louisville, Kentucky, was taken into custody following a months-long investigation into her business, Asian Massage, located in Hometown Plaza at the intersection of State Road 60 and County Road 311 in Sellersburg.
Detective Tim Denby of the Indiana State Police Special Investigations, Organized Crime and Corruption Unit began investigating the business in February after receiving reports of illegal activity. With assistance from the Indiana Department of Revenue, investigators uncovered what they allege was more than $16,500 in unpaid state and county taxes.
Court records show the Clark County Circuit Court issued a warrant for Thrasher’s arrest Tuesday, charging her with corrupt business influence, two counts of theft, two counts of tax evasion, and failure to allow access to records. Authorities said all charges range from Level 5 to Level 6 felonies.
Thrasher was arrested without incident by Detective Denby and booked into the Clark County Jail. She is being held on a $10,000 full cash bond.
Police emphasized that all individuals charged are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
