Durant, OK – A widespread recall of ready-to-eat salads sold at Aldi and Walmart has expanded to include multiple products over Listeria concerns.

The recall, part of a total 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products, affects chicken-based salads produced by BrucePac, including the Little Salad Bar Chicken Caesar Salad and Marketside Santa Fe Style Salad. These products have been sold across the U.S. and have use-by dates extending through October 23, 2024.

According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the recall includes Fresh Express items and others with lot numbers listed on FSIS’s website. No illnesses have been reported, but FSIS warns that products may still be in homes and on shelves. Consumers should discard or return recalled salads.
