Seattle, Washington – Sunshine continues Monday in western Washington, but showers will return late Tuesday, possibly soaking Seattle streets by sunrise Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Seattle, dry and mild conditions will hold through Tuesday afternoon, with highs near 74°F. Rain chances rise to 40% after 11 p.m. Tuesday and peak at 70% early Wednesday, possibly affecting I-5, Highway 99, and morning commutes across King and Snohomish counties. New precipitation amounts will be light — under one-tenth of an inch — but enough to cause wet and slippery roads during rush hour.

Partly sunny skies will return by Wednesday evening, and Thursday (Juneteenth) is shaping up to be mostly dry with highs near 70°F. However, another round of rain is likely by Friday and Saturday, with lows dipping to the low 50s.

Drivers should slow down during rain events, especially on untreated surfaces. Charge devices and check traffic apps for delays.

Looking ahead, showers may linger into Sunday, with a mild and possibly drier pattern setting up early next week.
