Seattle, Wash. – Labor Day travelers across western Washington can expect a welcome break from rain as skies clear and temperatures climb toward the upper 70s and low 80s through the middle of the week.
According to the National Weather Service in Seattle, Monday will start with lingering morning clouds before skies brighten. Highs are forecast to reach the upper 70s by afternoon, with a light southwest wind making for comfortable conditions across King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties.
By Tuesday, mostly sunny skies will settle in with highs around 81, warming further to 83 by Wednesday. That trend marks one of the driest stretches of the late summer season, with calm winds and overnight lows staying in the low 60s. Commuters and outdoor plans should face no weather disruptions, and ferry routes across Puget Sound are expected to run without weather delays.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the dry spell to complete outdoor projects or enjoy late-summer recreation. The stretch of sun could be the last major warm-up before cooler September systems return later this month.
Clear and mild weather is expected to hold through at least Thursday, with only slight cooling by the weekend.
