Seattle, WA – Commuters across Seattle may need an umbrella Thursday, with showers expected through the afternoon before skies gradually clear heading into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, a 40 percent chance of showers is forecast for Thursday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., with cloudy skies and highs reaching near 68 degrees. Overnight, temperatures will dip to the low 50s as skies begin to clear.

Friday is expected to be mostly sunny, reaching a high of 66 degrees, though a slight chance of showers could return late at night. Saturday brings a similar pattern, with cloudy skies and another 30 percent chance of rain before partly cloudy conditions develop overnight.

By Sunday, conditions improve significantly. Forecasters say the day will be sunny with highs around 65, continuing into early next week with warmer temperatures. Monday and Tuesday are both expected to be sunny, with highs climbing into the upper 70s and potentially reaching 80 degrees.

Seattle residents should be prepared for damp conditions through the end of the workweek but can look forward to dry skies and warm fall weather as the new week begins.
