Schaumburg, IL – The Village of Schaumburg is reminding residents and visitors of guidelines for this year’s Septemberfest Labor Day Parade, set to take place Monday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. along Summit Drive.
According to information shared by the Village of Schaumburg, tarps, chairs, and blankets can be placed along the parade route beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31. The parade, which typically lasts about two hours, will travel northbound on Summit Drive toward the festival grounds.
On festival grounds, personal items may be set out starting at 6 a.m. each day but must be removed nightly. Officials emphasized that items placed earlier than permitted will be removed, so attendees are encouraged to plan ahead. A full list of prohibited items is available on the official Septemberfest website.
Septemberfest, a long-standing Schaumburg tradition, will also feature live entertainment, food vendors, carnival rides, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend leading up to the parade. The event typically draws thousands of attendees from across the northwest suburbs.
Village officials are asking paradegoers to follow posted guidelines to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for all.
