Schaumburg, IL – The Village of Schaumburg has begun demolishing the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center at 101 Schaumburg Ct. to pave the way for a new, modern Village Hall facility.
According to the Village of Schaumburg, demolition is currently underway, and residents are urged to stay clear of the active construction area for safety reasons. The public can view the progress of the demolition and future construction through a live feed available at Schaumburg.com/Move.
While the main municipal center is being torn down, the nearby Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts, located at 201 Schaumburg Ct., remains open. Visitors can access the grounds via Prairie Center Drive from Schaumburg Road.
During the transition, Village Hall services have been temporarily relocated to 1000 E. Woodfield Rd. Residents needing assistance can call 311 within Schaumburg or reach out to (847) 895-4500 for more information.
Construction of the new Village Hall is part of a broader initiative to modernize Schaumburg’s municipal operations and provide improved services for the community. No projected completion date has been announced as of Monday.
