Schaumburg, IL – The Village of Schaumburg will begin its 2024 street sweeping program on Monday, March 24, covering more than 400 miles of village roads. The initiative aims to clear away dust, debris, and leftover winter residue to maintain clean streets and improve drainage.
According to the Village of Schaumburg, street sweeping will occur in multiple phases throughout the year, with scheduled sweep weeks on March 24, May 5, July 7, September 8, October 13, and November 17. The Woodfield area will be excluded from the October and November sweeps.
Each sweeping cycle is expected to take approximately five days, but weather conditions may cause delays. Residents are encouraged to park off-street during scheduled weeks to allow crews to clean as much roadway as possible.
