Schaumburg, IL – Schaumburg residents can safely dispose of sensitive documents this Saturday, April 12, as the Village of Schaumburg hosts a Document Destruction Event. From 9 a.m. to noon, residents can bring up to two boxes of paper documents to be shredded, ensuring secure disposal of personal information.
According to the Village of Schaumburg, the event will be held at the parking lot of the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts, located at 201 Schaumburg Ct. Participants must enter via Prairie Center Drive from Schaumburg Road. Proof of residency is required, with participants asked to present an ID to verify their Schaumburg address.
Accepted items for destruction include two bankers boxes of paper documents per vehicle. Paper clips, staples, and envelopes can remain on the documents, but spiral notebooks, 3-ring binders, CDs, and plastic bags will not be accepted.
For those unable to attend Saturday’s event, a second opportunity for document destruction will take place on April 26 as part of the Community Recycling Event.
