PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s monthly Steel City Horror Show returns to the Harris Theater in downtown on Sunday, Aug. 31, 7:30 p.m. This month’s mystery film will be shown in 35mm film.

The Steel City Horror Show is a surprise screening of a horror film designed to shock and scare audiences. Organizers say ghouls, ghosts, and goblins may even  stalk the aisles to deliver in-theater scares and pre-show surprises.

Last month, theatergoers watched Lamberto Bava’s Demons while a demon roamed the aisles to frighten attendees. The Cultural Trust also screened the locally shot short film The Summoning from the 48 Hour Film Festival, with the director and lead actor present.

Host Sean Collier – or at least some version of –  will introduce the mystery film and preview what audiences can expect before the screening. A  surprise guest is also scheduled to appear Sunday.

General admission tickets are $17. Patrons bringing alcoholic beverages under the theater’s BYOB policy will be charged an additional $5 fee and present a valid photo ID upon request. Concessions will be available for purchase.

The Harris Theater provides wheelchair-accessible seating and assistive listening during most performances. Ushers and ambassadors are available to assist patrons.
