Santa Barbara Faces Critical Fire Weather with Red Flag Warning in Effect

Santa Barbara, CA – The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for Santa Barbara County, effective from 6 PM this evening to 6 AM PDT Saturday, amid critical fire weather conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, a prolonged heat wave will persist into next week, peaking Friday and Saturday, with hot, dry conditions and winds gusting from 20 to 40 mph. Humidity will drop to 5 to 10 percent, exacerbating fire risks.
