According to New Hampshire State Police, troopers assigned to the Troop D barracks responded just before 6 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, to reports of a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 93 North near mile marker 59.9 in Sanbornton.

911 callers reported the tractor-trailer had gone off the roadway into the highway median and ultimately came to rest in the nearby woods.

When troopers arrived, they found a red 2025 Mack Anthem tractor-trailer with extensive damage.

Sanbornton Fire & Rescue also responded to the scene and treated the driver, identified as Thomas Martell, 65, of Allenstown.

Authorities said Martell was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
