California – A soft, golden glow spills across the Bay this morning, and commuters stepping onto Market Street feel mild air already pushing toward the 70s. Jackets come off quickly. Sunglasses stay on. By afternoon, San Francisco climbs to near 73 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

According to the National Weather Service in San Francisco, northwest winds stay light today, generally 3 to 6 mph. Clouds increase tonight with lows near 57. Saturday remains mostly sunny with highs near 69, then clouds thicken again Saturday night as temperatures dip to the mid-50s.

The shift arrives Sunday. Highs top out near 63 under mostly cloudy skies. After 10 p.m. Sunday, there is a 20 percent chance of light rain. Roads like U.S. 101 and Interstate 80 could turn damp into early Monday. Plan extra braking distance for the Monday commute.

Monday keeps a slight 20 percent rain chance with highs again near 63. Skies partially clear Monday night with lows near 51. By Tuesday, partly sunny conditions return and temperatures hold in the low 60s. To be fair, this is a gentle pattern change, not a soaking storm.

Across Northern California, scattered showers expand this weekend as upper-level energy moves inland. No snow concerns for the Bay Area, but Sierra travel may turn slick.

Looking ahead into early March, the 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures. Spring warmth may build back across the region by midweek and beyond.
