San Diego, CA – Coastal communities across Southern California are bracing for hazardous surf conditions through 4 p.m. Saturday, with the National Weather Service warning of strong waves and localized flooding. A High Surf Advisory remains in effect, posing a risk to swimmers, surfers, and boaters, especially along the I-5 corridor near popular beaches.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory includes large breaking waves of 4 to 6 feet, with sets up to 7 feet expected on west-facing beaches. The impact zone stretches across San Diego County, prompting officials to urge caution and avoid walking near jetties or piers where waves can quickly sweep people off their feet.

Overnight into Saturday morning, expect patchy drizzle and overcast skies with lows around 55°F. Winds will remain light out of the northwest at 5 mph. By Saturday afternoon, skies will gradually clear, turning mostly sunny with highs near 62°F. Southwest winds will pick up slightly, gusting to 20 mph in some areas.

Sunday brings partly sunny skies with highs reaching 64°F, making it more pleasant for outdoor plans. Nights will be cooler, dipping into the low 50s.
