San Diego, CA – Drivers and residents should prepare for reduced visibility along Interstate 5 tonight due to patchy fog expected to roll in after 8 p.m. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), this dense fog may impact visibility down to five miles and persist through early Saturday morning.
The patchy fog will likely linger until 8 a.m. on Saturday, posing risks for early morning commuters, especially on I-5 and other major roads. NWS advises drivers to reduce speeds, use low beams, and maintain safe distances from other vehicles. Clear skies are forecast to follow, with temperatures rising to around 80°F by mid-afternoon Saturday.
Sunday’s weather will be sunny, with highs near 82°F, making it a pleasant day for outdoor activities across San Diego. However, fog is expected to return late Sunday night into Monday morning, once again affecting the I-5 corridor and other coastal highways. By Monday afternoon, conditions will clear, and temperatures will peak at a warm 83°F.
