SAN DIEGO – A soft gray haze drifts inland from the Pacific this Halloween morning, settling low over Mission Bay and the downtown skyline. It’s a calm, classic coastal start — cool, humid, and still — before sunshine breaks through by late morning, ushering in another stretch of warm, dry fall weather across San Diego County.

According to the National Weather Service in San Diego, mild and steady conditions will dominate through the weekend. Highs will climb into the low to mid-70s Friday through Sunday, with patchy morning fog giving way to afternoon sun. Light winds and comfortable humidity will make for ideal conditions across the region, from the beaches to the inland valleys.

Saturday and Sunday both bring sunshine with highs near 74°F to 77°F. Fog will return briefly each morning, especially along I-5 and near the coastal airports, but visibility will quickly improve by midmorning. Inland areas from Escondido to Poway will stay slightly warmer and clearer, making this one of the last mild weekends before a gradual cooling trend next week.

By Monday, a deeper marine layer may push farther inland, introducing more persistent low clouds and a slight temperature drop. Early November could trend cooler as high pressure weakens, but rain chances remain low for now.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the comfortable stretch for Halloween events, beach plans, and outdoor projects before fog and cooler mornings become more common heading into November.
