San Antonio, Texas – Scattered thunderstorms and muggy heat will continue to impact San Antonio through Thursday night, creating potential delays and dampening holiday travel plans just ahead of July 4.

According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms will be most likely between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Wednesday, with another round possible after 10 p.m. tonight. Rain chances remain around 40–50%, with totals up to half an inch possible. Southeast winds could gust up to 20 mph during the heaviest downpours.

Cities across Bexar County, including Leon Valley and Converse, may see street flooding during heavier storms. Travel during early morning or late evening hours could be impacted by wet roads and reduced visibility. Residents are urged to secure outdoor items and avoid low-lying areas. Conditions should improve by Independence Day, with mostly cloudy skies and highs near 93°F. Heat and humidity will dominate the weekend forecast, with temperatures climbing to 96°F by Sunday.

More storms aren’t expected after Thursday night, but humidity will remain high through the weekend.
