San Antonio, Texas – Central and south-central Texas remain locked in a stretch of triple-digit heat, with highs from 98 to 101 degrees expected each afternoon through late next week. Humidity will push heat indices even higher, and isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms could disrupt outdoor plans daily.

According to the National Weather Service in Austin-San Antonio, storm chances will be highest in the late afternoon to early evening hours, especially from the Hill Country to the I-35 corridor. While storms will be scattered, some could produce brief heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds.

Cities including San Antonio, Austin, and Eagle Pass are projected to see highs near or above 100°F most days. The combination of heat and moisture means residents should limit strenuous activity during peak heating, stay hydrated, and take breaks indoors. Drivers should be alert for sudden downpours reducing visibility.

The pattern of daily rain chances is expected to hold at least into next Friday, with no significant cool-down in sight. Heat advisories could be reissued if conditions worsen.
