San Antonio, Texas – Scattered thunderstorms and rising humidity could impact much of Bexar County by midday Saturday, July 26, with rain chances and travel delays possible along Loop 410 and I-35.

According to the National Weather Service, a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms develops Saturday afternoon after 1 p.m. across San Antonio and surrounding areas. South-southeast winds up to 10 mph and a high near 93°F could push heat index values higher, especially during peak afternoon hours. Rain is expected to taper off Saturday night, but humid and unsettled conditions will continue into Sunday.

Expect mostly cloudy skies Saturday night, with lows near 77°F and ongoing rain chances before midnight. Another round of thunderstorms is possible Sunday afternoon, when temperatures rise again toward 96°F. Winds may gust as high as 20 mph, creating dangerous conditions for unsecured outdoor items and higher-profile vehicles.

Residents should avoid flood-prone low-water crossings, especially during heavy downpours. If traveling, monitor road conditions and delay non-essential trips during peak storm hours.
