Rain chances continue into Thursday and Friday, with the strongest storms possible in the late afternoon and evening hours. Gusty winds, lightning, and brief downpours could impact travel across Bexar County and surrounding areas.
Thursday is expected to be one of the hottest days, with highs near 98 and a heat index around 104. Drivers should be alert for slick roads during afternoon storms, especially along I-35, Loop 410, and US-281. CPS Energy is also advising residents to conserve power during peak heat hours between 2 and 7 p.m.
The weekend trend looks slightly drier, but the heat will remain, with highs staying in the mid to upper 90s. Hydration and limited outdoor activity are advised. Additional storm chances return early next week.
