San Antonio residents face another round of dangerous heat Tuesday, just as the fall season begins. Forecasters warn afternoon highs could reach 98 degrees, with heat index values near 104. Those outdoors should stay hydrated and limit activity during peak hours.

According to the National Weather Service, south winds between 5 and 10 mph will bring little relief Tuesday. Heat will dominate early, but storm chances are building for Wednesday. A 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected after 1 p.m. Wednesday, with rain potentially cooling conditions for parts of Bexar County.

Wednesday’s high may reach 95, but scattered storms could disrupt commutes along major corridors like I-35 and I-10. Drivers are urged to use caution during heavy downpours. By Wednesday night, forecasters predict a 50% chance of additional storms before tapering off late.

Thursday brings another round of unsettled weather, with a 30% chance of showers during the day and highs around 89. Winds will shift north by evening, signaling the first hints of cooler fall air.

Friday looks sunny and hot, reaching near 92, while Saturday remains warm at 93 with clear skies. Sunday offers a slight cooldown, with highs near 82 and a 20% chance of showers.
