San Antonio, TX – Early risers across South Texas are waking to another warm, calm start this Columbus Day, as sunshine dominates the week’s forecast. Temperatures are climbing near 90°F through Wednesday, making it one of the warmest mid-October stretches in recent years.

According to the National Weather Service in San Antonio, skies will stay mostly clear with light southeast winds between 5 and 10 mph. Commuters on I-10 and Loop 410 can expect smooth, dry drives through midweek, with no rain or fog expected. Outdoor plans, from park picnics to pumpkin patch visits, are in perfect shape for the next few days.

By Wednesday, highs may reach 91°F before a gradual cool-down late in the week. Thursday brings slightly milder air with highs near 89°F, and by the weekend, readings should dip closer to 70°F at night—an early hint of fall comfort returning to the region.

Looking ahead, Friday and Saturday remain mostly sunny with highs near 91–93°F, though forecasters hint at a small chance of light showers Saturday night.

Now’s a great time to hydrate, check A/C filters, and plan early outdoor events before temperatures shift next week.
