San Antonio will stay locked in summer-like heat through Monday, September 29, as highs push into the 90s with little relief. Drivers along I-35 should prepare for sun glare during peak travel hours, especially in the afternoon when temperatures climb.

According to the National Weather Service, highs will reach near 90 Monday, followed by a jump back to 93 on Tuesday and 95 by Wednesday. Skies stay mostly clear through the period, keeping conditions dry but also prolonging the early fall heat across Bexar County and much of South Texas.

The stretch of sunny weather offers little chance of rain, leaving lawns and vegetation parched. Afternoon commutes on Loop 410 and I-10 could feel sweltering, with car interiors quickly exceeding 100 degrees. Officials urge residents to stay hydrated and limit outdoor work during peak heating hours.

Looking ahead, October begins Wednesday with more of the same—bright skies, highs in the mid-90s, and only light breezes. While mornings stay comfortable in the upper 60s, afternoons will continue to feel closer to midsummer than early fall.

Relief from the heat appears unlikely until late next week, when cooler air could start edging south. Until then, San Antonio remains firmly under a dome of sunshine and unseasonable warmth.
