San Antonio, TX – Drivers across San Antonio should prepare for slick and potentially hazardous road conditions Tuesday as fog, drizzle, and patchy rain persist across the region.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), light rain and fog will blanket the area during the morning commute, reducing visibility and making roads slippery. Highs are expected to reach the mid-50s, with north-northeast winds gusting up to 15 mph. These conditions are likely to continue into Tuesday evening, with a 30% chance of showers and patchy fog lingering overnight.
Motorists traveling major roadways such as I-35, Loop 410, and Highway 281 are advised to drive cautiously and allow extra time for their commute. Rain chances will increase significantly on Wednesday night as a stronger storm system moves in, bringing a 70% chance of thunderstorms by Thursday.
The NWS also warns of potential gusty winds and heavy downpours during the storms, which could lead to brief travel disruptions. However, relief is on the horizon. By Friday, the rain will clear, giving way to sunny skies and warmer temperatures in the low 70s.
Drivers are encouraged to stay updated on weather changes and road conditions throughout the week.
