San Angelo, Texas – Storms are expected to roll into San Angelo and much of West Central Texas this weekend, bringing rounds of showers and thunderstorms before a stretch of hotter, calmer weather returns next week.

According to the National Weather Service in San Angelo, rain chances build Saturday afternoon with storms possible into the evening. Showers and thunderstorms could linger into Sunday, particularly after midday, before skies begin to clear late. Highs will hold in the mid-80s through the weekend with overnight lows in the 60s.

Localized downpours may cause slick roads, especially along U.S. 87 and Loop 306. The unsettled weather could also impact outdoor events around San Angelo and nearby towns such as Wall and Grape Creek. Residents are advised to monitor changing conditions, avoid flooded low-water crossings, and keep outdoor plans flexible.

Conditions improve Monday with only a slight storm chance before dry, sunny weather settles in by Tuesday. Temperatures will rise quickly, with highs climbing into the lower 90s through midweek.

Showers are likely to diminish Sunday night, leaving mostly clear skies. The National Weather Service says drier weather should hold through at least Friday, though additional advisories may be issued if storm activity redevelops.
