SAN ANGELO, Texas – Hot, dry weather will grip San Angelo and much of west-central Texas through early next week, keeping daytime highs in the low to mid-90s with little chance of rain.

According to the National Weather Service in San Angelo, Friday will top out near 94 degrees under sunny skies, followed by mostly clear conditions at night with lows around 67. Winds will remain light overall but could gust up to 20 mph Friday evening and again Saturday night.

The stretch of heat continues into the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday both expected to reach the lower 90s. Nighttime lows will stay mild, hovering in the upper 60s. Outdoor plans, football games, and other weekend activities should be safe from storms, though breezy evenings may add some discomfort.

Drivers may face reduced visibility from dust on rural roads during gusty periods. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, limit strenuous activity during peak afternoon heat, and keep pets cool and shaded.

Sunny, dry weather looks to continue into midweek with only minor day-to-day changes in temperatures.
