San Angelo, TX – Residents woke up to chilly winds Thursday morning, with wind chills dipping into the low 20s. However, by this afternoon, temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-60s to low-70s under sunny skies, offering a pleasant break from the cold start.

According to the National Weather Service, calm southwest winds of 5 to 10 mph will dominate the day, making outdoor activities more comfortable. Despite the warming trend during the afternoon, evening lows are forecast to drop to the mid-30s. Residents should dress in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Looking ahead, Friday will bring another sunny day with highs around 63 degrees and light north winds. Weekend temperatures are expected to remain consistent, with Saturday’s high reaching 68 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph, so caution is advised for outdoor plans.

By Sunday, a slight cooldown will bring highs near 67 degrees under mostly sunny skies, while Monday promises even warmer temperatures, reaching 74 degrees. Nights will remain chilly, with lows averaging in the mid-40s.

Drivers on Highway 87 and other San Angelo roadways are encouraged to exercise caution during the morning hours, as cold temperatures can create slick spots. With Christmas just around the corner, this week offers mostly dry and mild weather, ideal for last-minute holiday errands and outdoor events.
