San Angelo, Texas – After a cloudy start, San Angelo will see isolated showers Sunday before high pressure builds, driving a hot and dry week ahead.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will bring a 30 percent chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., with highs near 85. Monday carries a lower storm chance in the afternoon, but skies will clear overnight as temperatures climb toward the 90s.

By Tuesday, sunshine dominates with highs near 93. Wednesday and Thursday will stay sunny and hot, topping out in the mid-90s. Nighttime lows remain in the mid-60s, offering only limited relief.

Travelers across U.S. 87 and area roadways may face brief wet conditions Sunday and Monday, but no widespread hazards are expected. Once storms clear, dry pavement and hot afternoons will return for commutes and outdoor activity.

NOAA’s precipitation outlook keeps much of West-Central Texas leaning below normal for rainfall into mid-September. That trend may worsen already dry conditions across ranchlands and increase wildfire concerns in rural parts of Tom Green County.

The National Weather Service expects San Angelo to stay hot and sunny through next weekend, locking in a summerlike stretch as fall nears.
