San Angelo, Texas – West Central Texas residents will face more blistering heat this week, with high temperatures in San Angelo nearing 99°F through Wednesday and a slight chance of thunderstorms returning late Sunday night.

According to the National Weather Service in San Angelo, a weak boundary may spark isolated storms between 10 p.m. Sunday and 4 a.m. Monday. Rainfall chances remain low—only 20%—but any storms could bring brief gusty winds or lightning. Overnight lows will hover around 72°F, offering little overnight relief.

Monday through Thursday will stay dry and hot, with daily highs ranging from 97°F to 99°F. Winds will be light and variable, generally from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph. The heat index may push values above 100°F at times, especially during the afternoon hours.

Locals are urged to limit outdoor activities during peak heat and stay hydrated. Vulnerable groups, including children, outdoor workers, and the elderly, should take extra precautions.
