Salt Lake City, UT – Mild and sunny conditions in Utah this week will shift as a cold front moves in by the weekend. Highs for Wednesday and Thursday remain near normal, but snowfall and colder air are expected to disrupt the warm spell.

According to the National Weather Service, Salt Lake City will see highs near 40 degrees through Friday, with sunny skies persisting midweek. St. George leads with the warmest highs, reaching 54 degrees Friday, while Logan stays cooler with highs around 33 degrees.

The shift begins Saturday when temperatures drop sharply across the state. Salt Lake City will see highs plunge to 31 degrees Saturday, paired with snow showers. Northern cities, such as Logan and Price, can expect similar drops to 25 and 30 degrees, respectively. Cedar City and St. George will feel a milder drop but may experience accumulating snowfall by Sunday.

Meteorologists warn that the cold front could create slick roads and reduced visibility, especially in mountain passes. Residents should monitor local updates and prepare for travel disruptions through the weekend.

While skies remain hazy and sunny midweek, the weekend’s snow provides much-needed moisture to Utah’s water reserves. Officials encourage drivers to stay cautious and ready for sudden weather changes.
