Salt Lake City, UT – Warm, dry weather across Utah and southwest Wyoming is expected to give way to cooler, unsettled conditions early next week, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.
Forecasters say gusty winds and scattered showers could begin Sunday evening, particularly across northeast Utah and southwest Wyoming. The system is expected to continue into Monday morning, bringing a noticeable temperature drop through midweek.
According to the NWS, the change follows the passage of a cold front moving through the region Monday through Wednesday. Highs in Salt Lake City are forecast to fall from the mid-70s over the weekend to the low 60s by Tuesday, while Logan and Cedar City could see similar drops.
Dry and warm conditions will persist through Saturday, with temperatures ranging from 60°F in Logan to 76°F in St. George. Showers are most likely on Sunday and Wednesday, mainly affecting southern Utah.
Residents are encouraged to plan for cooler mornings and potentially breezy conditions early in the week, especially for commuters and outdoor activities.
